چکیده
Rice is a staple food for more than 3.5 billion people worldwide, with Asia producing almost 90% of the global rice yield. In US, primarily produced in four regions: Arkansas Grand Prairie, Mississippi Delta, Gulf Coast, and Sacramento Valley California. currently accounts 50% US. As temperatures continue to rise fluctuate, crop-breeding programs must evolve. Unfortunately, sudden submergence due climate change unpredictable flash flooding can cause yield reduction up 100% affect 20 million ha agricultural farmlands. Similarly, it has been demonstrated that higher 34°C spikelet infertility resulting 60% One major drawback developing abiotic stress-tolerant loss critical traits such as vegetative vigor, fertility, grain quality, which are essential increasing economic return farmers. To replace lost past breeding endeavors, weedy (WR) proposed source novel trait discovery improve programs. Therefore, goal this study was screen identify heat- submergence-tolerant WR accessions. A mini germplasm consisting seedlings at 3–4 leaf stage exposed heat (38°C) complete 21 days. After each treatment, height recorded every 7 days 28 days, biomass collected after treatment. The average across all accessions 19 21% 14 treatment (DAT) heat-stress 25 33% stress. 18 stress, respectively. Morphologically, DAT, 28% surviving <20% were straw-colored hull types without awns. Under blackhull These specific biotypes may play role increased resilience populations or results presented paper will highlight elite survive effects change.

Response of Iranian Rice Recombinant Inbred Lines (Oryza sativa L.) to Salt Stress in Seedling Stage
Study of the morphological genetic diversity of 114 lines, which have been derived from the crosses between Tarom Mahalli and Khazar cultivars, has been performed at seedling stage as completely randomized design at the normal condition and salinity stress of 8 dS.m-1 in a hydroponic system. Significant differences were detected between genotypes for all traits. Mean of comparison demonstrated ...
متن کاملIn vitro screening for salt tolerance in Rice ( Oryza sativa )
An experiment was conducted to study the performance of rice genotypes for salt tolerance under in vitro condition. Seven genotypes include salt tolerant (Pokkali, CSR 10, TRY 1 and TRY2), moderately tolerant to salt (White Ponni and BPT 5204) and susceptible (IR 29) were used for this study through embryo culture technique. Callus was initiated in MS medium + 2 mgl 2,4D + 0.5 mgl Kin and diffe...
متن کاملHeat shocks increase the chilling tolerance of rice (Oryza sativa) seedling radicles.
The growth of rice (Oryza sativa L., cv. M202) seedling radicles, initially 10 +/- 1 mm long, was linear for the 96 h it took them to grow to 150 mm at 25 degrees C. Exposure to 5 degrees C for 24 h reduced the rate of growth by about 50%, and longer exposures caused a progressive reduction in growth. Initial radicle length significantly affected chilling sensitivity: with 2 days at 5 degrees C...
متن کاملPhysiological and proteomic approaches to address heat tolerance during anthesis in rice (Oryza sativa L.)
Episodes of high temperature at anthesis, which in rice is the most sensitive stage to temperature, are expected to occur more frequently in future climates. The morphology of the reproductive organs and pollen number, and changes in anther protein expression, were studied in response to high temperature at anthesis in three rice (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes. Plants were exposed to 6 h of high (...
متن کاملPeptide mass fingerprinting of rice (Oryza sativa L.) leaves during UV-B induced stress at seedling stage: A proteom analysis
The depletion of stratospheric ozone layer has led to the increase in solar ultraviolet (UV-B: 280-320 nm) radiation reaching the Earth’s surface and resulted in reduction of the growth and yield of crop plants. To defend against such adverse effect, plants may have developed some kind of resistance mechanism through differential expression of genes involved in UV stress. To determine the diffe...
